TBF of Maine Announces More Opportunities to Win in 2009
Many of you already know that TBF of Maine hosts some of the best open tournaments in the state. This year we are announcing that we are expanding from 5 open tournaments to 6 to give anglers another opportunity to cash in on the prizes. The tournaments will be run the same as they always have and we hope by expanding the number of lakes we will also be able to expand the prize pool.
Also, TBF of Maine is announcing a new tournament trail format in conjunction with our open format. All of our TBF open tournaments will make up our new tournament trail for those who wish to fish them as a trail as well. You now have the opportunity to fish our opens as strictly opens or as a trail. No changes have been made to the payouts for our opens. They will still pay 1 in 5 spots that day if you want to fish only as an open but with our new changes we are giving more opportunities for people to cash in on more money and prizes. There will be a one time $100 fee per team for the tournament trail. The tournament trail will be on a point system with 100 points being awarded for first and reduced by 2 points for each place down the line. Also 2 points will be awarded for each lunker. There will be a $2000 guaranteed cash payout for the tournament trail after the final TBF event. All rules and applications will be available on our website as soon as all the details are finalized.
