Purpose of the TBF of Maine

  1. Organize the bass clubs in the state of Maine and to affiliate with other organizations of like mind and purpose.
  2. Assist and cooperate with the Maine Department of Inland Fish & Wildlife Department of Conservation and other agencies in matters mutually beneficial.
  3. Preserve and further the sport of bass fishing by actively becoming engaged in the areas of environment, pollution, and youth participation.
  4. Organize and conduct an annual "TBF of Maine State Qualifying Tournament" to determine the members of the state team to represent the state of Maine. This team will compete in the Eastern Division Tournament, held by The Bass Federation, Inc. The top two anglers from Maine in the Eastern Division Championship will advance to the National Championship as a boater and co angler respectively.

Join the TBF of Maine

The Federation is looking for bass clubs, or individuals that are interested in joining TBF clubs, Dues are $25.00 per year, per person for TBF of Maine membership, and $15.00 for The Bass Federation, Inc membership. It only takes 6 members to start a bass club and enjoy all the benefits of The Bass Federation.

Starting A New Club

  1. The club must have at least 6 members.
  2. The club must be a member of the Federation by the April state meeting in order to participate in that years state qualifier but may join at any time during the year and be eligible for the following years state qualifier.
  3. The club must have a representative at the monthly delegates meetings which are currently held the last Thursday of each month in Lewiston. Any club not attending 75% of TBF Maine meetings will lose eligibility to participate in TBF of Maine state qualifier for the following year.
  4. Your TBF of Maine dues are $25.00 per member, per year payable when the club joins the Federation and the following years dues are due in December.

  6. 100% of the club members should be a member of FLW Outdoors. The membership is handled by members on an individual basis.
  7. The club's members must also be members of the The Bass Federation, Inc. at $15.00 per member.
